VIA's passenger numbers still falling

I read an article in austriantimes.at these days and it talks about the International Airport in Vienna.

I thought you might be interested because Vienna International Airport is an Austrian Airport.

Basically what it says is that the number of the VIA’s passengers is still falling. The declines in September in comparison to the last year come to 6.6 per cent.

In October fewer passengers flew to Eastern Europe but there were more passengers who were going to the Middle East and Western Europe.

The number of take-offs and landings decreased about 8 per cent and the number of transfer passengers dropped about 2 per cent in October.

VIA said that they expect a decline of nine per cent in passenger numbers in 2009.

Vocabulary:
Decline (Rückgang): When something gets less, you have a decline.
Take-off (Flugzeugstart): It's another word for departure.
